Do we want more of Pierre Trudeau's Liberal Socialism in Canada? It has brought us high taxes, wasteful social programs. Multiculturalism and political correctness are destroying Canadian values and destroying Christian values. Liberal Socialism just isn't working. The trouble is that Canadians don't care. Canadians are too lazy to find out the truth, they are too stupid to disbelieve Liberal attack ads, and they are too stubborn to change their vote.
They also have the same mindset as our Liberal overlords. A recent survey asked what people thought about Stephen Harper, and the majority spat out the text from the Liberal attack ads. "scary", "in bed with Bush","don't trust him", "they're all the same", etc.
Face it, there's enough evidence to put the Liberals out for the next 100 years, but they're going to win this one, too. Why? Because they have the liberal media, the business community, immigrants, older folk who never have voted otherwise, and the imbecile vote. The few of us who actually pay attention and do any research at all on the election are outnumbered, plain and simple.
Last summer a column ran in the National Post claiming that Liberal support will rarely dip below thirty percent. This happened briefly after the Gomery report, but it's back to sustainable levels. There are too many beholden unto the Liberals for their jobs, their very presence in Canada, and again, that stubborn group who always vote Liberal under any circumstance.
Facts and truth make no impression on Canadians. The federal surplus will exceed $10B by 2010 before I get my "tax cut" promised recently by Ralph Goodale. That'll give him lots of time to bleed it off somewhere else.
But the average Canadian thinks he's getting a tax cut. The average voting Canadian is an idiot.
I hope you are wrong. But I am afraid you could be right. We need to get the message out
